Basic Curry Sauce


  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 teaspoons curry powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 3/4 cup chicken broth
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream


Melt together butter and oil in skillet. And curry powder. Simmer 2 to 5 minutes, then pour in broth and cream. Increase heat to high and bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer.  Simmer about 10 minutes. This is a very versatile sauce, this can be served over any cook meat or veggies.
