Broccoli with Bacon
Ingredients
- 4 slices bacon, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1 bunch broccoli, cut into florets (6 cups)
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons slivered almonds
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
Directions
- In a large skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat, stirring often, until crisp, about 6 to 8 minutes. Transfer to a plate.
- To the skillet, add the broccoli, minced garlic, and slivered almonds and cook, tossing often, until the broccoli is tender, 8 to 10 minutes.
- Add bacon back to pan, season with 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon pepper, and cook about 3 more minutes.
