Easy Chicken and Dumplings
Ingredients
- 2 (10 ounce) packages refrigerated biscuits
- 1 1/2 cans of milk (use soup can)
- 1 can of water (use soup can)
- 1/2 medium sweet onion, diced
- 2 stalks celery, sliced
- 4 small cans (or 2 large) condensed cream of chicken soup
- 2 skinless, boneless chicken breasts
- 2 tablespoons butter
Directions
- Mix butter, cream of chicken soup, onion, milk, celery, and water in a crock pot. Add chicken, covering with the liquid.
- Cover and cook up to 9 hours on low (6 is minimum). Do not add extra salt! About 1 hour before serving take chicken breasts out and shred chicken using 2 forks and then put back in crockpot.
- Turn crockpot to high and add biscuit dough (cut in fourths) in crock pot and cook until dough is no longer raw in the center. (about 45 minutes).
